Price list indexation

Paste your price list, choose a percentage and see your new prices straight away. With a short message for your regular customers.

Everything stays on your device. Your list and your file are not uploaded and not stored. No account, no cookies. We only count anonymously how the page is used (no IP address).

Copy the rows from Excel, Word or an email: a description and a price on each row.

Percentage and rounding

For information, not advice: the collective agreement for painters (SAVG) raises wages by 3.7% on 1 January 2027. Indexing with CBS price indices or collective wages: see Ondernemersplein and Prices then and now (CBS). You decide which percentage fits your costs.

Rounding

With an increase, rounding never takes a price below the old one.

Message for your customers

Tone

You cannot simply raise an agreed price on a quote that was already accepted, and on a running contract or subscription you can only do so if your terms allow it, for example through a price indexation clause (prijsindexatieclausule). For new quotes you can simply use your new prices. Check your agreements with customers. Ondernemersplein explains more and, for consumers, so does ConsuWijzer (ACM).

How indexation works

Indexation means changing your prices by a fixed percentage, often once a year. It keeps your rates in line with your own costs, such as wages, materials and transport.

This tool multiplies each price by (100% + your percentage) and then rounds it the way you choose. Example: €24.50 plus 4% becomes €25.48 to the cent, or €25.50 to 50 cents.

Frequently asked questions

Is my price list sent anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your own browser. Your list and your file do not go to Briefbee or anyone else, and the page loads no third-party scripts. Only your settings (percentage, rounding and tone) are remembered by your browser for next time.

Which percentage should I choose?

You decide, based on your own costs. We give no advice and show no averages from other businesses. For information, we mention a collective wage increase and the CBS price indices.

May I raise prices in running agreements?

That depends on what you agreed with your customer. Check your agreements with customers. Ondernemersplein by KVK and the government explains more and, for consumers, so does ConsuWijzer by the ACM (see the sources below).

Which files can I open?

CSV and text files, and Excel files (.xlsx, the first sheet). You can also paste rows from Excel, Word or an email. Save an old .xls file as .xlsx or CSV first.

How does rounding work?

You choose cents, 5 cents, 50 cents or whole euros. The tool rounds to the nearest amount, or with ‘Always round up’ to the next one. With an increase, rounding never takes a price below the old price.

Making quotes at your own prices?

Describe the job. Briefbee writes the quote in your words and at your prices; you check it and send it.
